We asked him how his company fights misinformation and makes sure quality news is promoted better on his platform.Chief Product Officer of Youtube Neal Mohan explained on Times Radio the critical balance of preserving free speech and countering misinformation on their platform.We've always had community guidelines on our platform and a set of policies that govern the type of content that's allowed on the platform. And when content violates those policies, whether it's around hate speech, or harassment, or violent extremism, or certain forms of misinformation, we remove it. Right now, they're [RT] a suspended channel. The war is obviously continuing in the country. And so we'll continue to monitor, over the course of the months and years.Neal explained that it doesn't matter who makes the content but rather the content itself. On YouTube, our policies apply to the nature of the content, regardless of who the speaker is, or who posted that content.
